Life of a ScrapUncle Picker: More Than Just Picking Up Scrap
Every ScrapUncle pickup begins with a tap on a customer’s phone, but the real journey starts when one of our pickers heads out to their doorstep.
From collecting old newspapers and cartons to handling appliances, metals and e-waste, ScrapUncle pickers are the people who keep the recycling cycle moving every day.
Every Pickup Has a Story
No day look exactly the same.
One pickup may be a few kilograms of newspapers from an apartment. The next could be an old washing machine, refrigerator or pile of cardboard waiting to be recycled. Our pickers meet customers, weigh their scrap, complete the collection and help ensure recyclable material moves forward instead of ending up as waste.
They aren’t simply collecting kabad ,they are helping give it another life.
Work That Keeps the City Moving
As more Indian households choose organised doorstep scrap collection, the people behind these pickups become an important part of making recycling convenient. Technology helps organise the pickup, but it is the picker on the ground who turns that request into action. Every completed pickup means a cleaner home for the customer and more recyclable material entering the right recycling channel.
